They Are Billions Review

What happens when you put zombies into an RTS? The answer almost writes itself. You get a defence based survival game in which instead of a rival army, you face hordes of shambling walkers, something guaranteed to instantly capture the attention of hundreds of thousands of players.

There are billions Command Centre

And that’s exactly what the histrionically titled They Are Billions has achieved in its opening weeks in Steam’s Early Access. The game’s great strengths is that it feels utterly familiar to anyone who’s played commanded and conquered. You start the game with a command centre, from where you construct all other buildings.

There are Tesla towers you must power use to expand the map with which allow you to build around them. There are resources scattered around the randomly generated map which you must exploit in order to gather the materials to construct further buildings. Forests and wooded areas provide wood if you build a sawmill next to them.  Iron and stone deposited around the map require quarries. You need workers to man each building and provide offensive units, and that means building tents initially and then cottages to house them; they in turn demand food, which you can provide by building hunter and fisherman’s cottages near plains, and later research into farms to provide more food, and then you can invest gold into researching new technologies, which unlock better tiers of structures.

Building up your colony with tents in They Are Billions

This cascade of resource requirements continually pushes and pulls you to expand your base to produce the stuff you need to build better defences. They are Billions immediate party trick is that it really does throw hordes of undead at the player.

Though single zombies can be picked off in a with few shots from a bow-slinging Ranger, groups of them can reach outer defences surprisingly effortlessly. So also Tower Defence is part of the game where you use your skills to know from where attacks will come, using terrain as natural defences and devising various ways of diverting the hordes into kill-corridors to expose them to Ballista fire, placing stakes to slow and damage them.

Get your Great Ballista set up ready for the next swarm.

Nevertheless, you’ll still be sending troops outside the walls of your settlement to clear areas, particularly Doom Villages, groups of buildings that fill with the infected. They Are Billions’ zombies are attracted to sound, SO these groups of the dead could bring tens of attackers to attack your colony. Higher-level units, such as the flame-throwing Lucifer and melee-specialist Thanatos, are designed specifically for attack rather than defence.

But really, you will be preparing for the ten waves of infected that you’ll face in each game. Rather counter-intuitively, setting yourself a shorter time to survive Increases the challenge, because you’ll have less time to prepare for each wave. Balancing building strong defences with base expansion, all the while reducing the size of the hordes. It is crucial to your success since any undead doing damage to your buildings will infect them, turning their inhabitants into new walkers.

Even a smallest of incursions can lead to the chain reaction which ends in your colony being overrun and destroyed.

As a game which launched late 2017 as a BETA in Early Access on Steam with a single mode. Survival, across four map types and different skill levels, They Are Billions is only just getting started. Developer Numantian Games is promising a forthcoming campaign as the core of the game, promising a 40-hour storyline and various new systems and structures.

How to Bulk move your games to Xbox One X (Scorpio)

Here’s How:

So if you have invested in the new Microsoft Xbox One X (or Scorpio edition) you will need to get all them games across to your new Xbox as quick as possible so in this article I tell you how.

If you are following this and want to watch the video instead head over to my youtube channel HERE where there is a complete video on how to transfer your Xbox One games to your Xbox One X.

With this recently added ability to transfer Games and Apps between drives in bulk, Microsoft has made the process easier for the big transitions. This is especially helpful for those upgrading to the Xbox One X this Autumn, allowing large games (and their 4K updates) to be transferred with ease.

  1. Open the Settings app on Xbox One.
  2. Navigate to the System tab.
  3. Select Storage.
  4. Scroll over to the right and select the drive you are moving the content from.
  5. Press A to select.
  6. Select Transfer.
  7. Select the items you plan to transfer. If moving all items, choose Select all.
  8. Choose Copy to copy all items between drives. To completely move the items, select Move. A pop-up message will appear asking for confirmation.
  9. Confirm your choice to initiate the transfer.

If you have followed correctly your move over to a new Xbox One X console and games will be ready to go! Make sure to keep in mind that all game installations are tied to a physical disc or account license, so ensure either disc or correct log in is present before running your transferred games.

If you are using a new drive then great plug it into your Xbox and you will be prompted to format either so it is compatible for games or compatible for movies, songs etc. Make sure it is formatted in the way that you want but don’t forget if the drive already has something on it then all data will be erased once formatting has commenced on your external drive.

  5. Confirm Move

Thats it your games are on there way, depending on the amount of games and Apps you are moving from your Xbox One to your new hard drive will depend on how long the process takes.

XBOX One X Official Lucid LS35X Headset

So although the recent thought was these were to be working on Bluetooth connectivity it appears the initial reports are incorrect, it now appears Lucidsound will be  using Wi-Fi Direct technology. The company approached Microsoft about licensing their Wi-Fi Direct technology last year, but were told that the company wasn’t taking any new partners. However, Microsoft came back to them after a month, since they had worked with Tritton in the past, and liked the work they are doing with LucidSound. So after being told it wasn’t possible, LucidSound now is licensed to use the Wi-Fi Direct technology.

Looking at the main selling points (and lack of Bluetooth) all looks good on these officially licensed cans. Heres hoping they have a better launch than the new Turtle Beach 600 and 700 series which have been plagued with mic drop outs and hissing noises (according to early reviews on Amazon and several Youtube videos)

Getting back to the LucidSound headphones the main points are below.

  • Officially Licensed Xbox wireless: connects directly to your Xbox One Console in the same way as a wireless Controller and configures automatically. No wires or base station is needed
  • Comfort: Designed for long-play sessions the LS35X uses memory foam ear cushions that offer superior comfort. Newly Designed oval ear cups create more space for increased comfort.
  • Intuitive controls: the LS35X features intuitive and Easy to use volume and mute controls using a unique system which is seamlessly integrated into the Aesthetic design of the headset.
  • Crystal clear chat with dual microphones: dual microphone design offers a flexible boom mic with advanced noise cancellation. Remove the boom mic to use the integrated mic.
  • Sound quality: immerse yourself in signature LucidSound audio acoustics. Users can choose between stereo or two Surround modes: Windows Sonic for headphones or Dolby atmos for headphones.

Apple AIrPods Bluetooth

  • Wireless headphones-After a simple one-tap setup, AirPods are automatically on and always connected. They can sense when they’re in your ears and pause when you take them out
  • Tap into Siri- Talking to your favourite personal assistant is a cinch. Just double-tap either Air Pod to activate Siri, without taking your iPhone out of your pocket.
  • Provide rich, high-quality AAC audio. And when you want to be heard, dual beam forming microphones filter out background noise when you make calls or talk to Siri.

Wireless. Effortless. Magical.

AirPods will forever change the way you use headphones. Whenever you pull your AirPods out of the charging case, they instantly turn on and connect to your iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac. Audio automatically plays as soon as you put them in your ears and pauses when you take them out. To adjust the volume, change the song, make a call or even get directions, just double-tap to activate Siri.

Driven by the custom Apple W1 chip, AirPods use optical sensors and a motion accelerometer to detect when they’re in your ears. Whether you’re using both AirPods or just one, the W1 chip automatically routes the audio and engages the microphone. And when you’re on a call or talking to Siri, an additional accelerometer works with beamforming microphones to filter out background noise and focus on the sound of your voice. Because the ultra-low-power W1 chip manages battery life so well, AirPods deliver an industry-leading 5 hours of listening time on one charge. And they’re made to keep up with you, thanks to a charging case that holds multiple additional charges for more than 24 hours of listening time. Need a quick charge? Just 15 minutes in the case gives you 3 hours of listening time.

Device Highlights:

  • Automatically on, automatically connected
  • One-tap setup for all your Apple devices(1)
  • Quick access to Siri with a double tap
  • More than 24-hour battery life with Charging Case(3)
  • Charges quickly in the case
  • Rich, high-quality audio and voice
  • Seamless switching between devices

Cuphead Game Xbox One and PC

The all-cartoon Magical Wondergame!

Cuphead is a classic run and gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.

Play as Cuphead or Mugman (in single player or local co-op) as you traverse strange worlds, acquire new weapons, learn powerful super moves, and discover hidden secrets while you try to pay your debt back to the devil!

Final Verdict:

As tough as it is beautiful, Cuphead won’t suit everyone’s tastes, but there’s absolutely no doubting this game exudes quality.
